Success after two draws occurs on the two <mutually exclusive events> $GR$ and $RG$. With $N=g+r$, <sampling without replacement> gives
$$
\mathbb P(GR)+\mathbb P(RG)
=\frac gN\frac r{N-1}+\frac rN\frac g{N-1}
=\boxed{\frac{2gr}{N(N-1)}}.
$$
