= Solution

For an <eigenfunction> in the <operator domain>, $H\psi_n=E_n\psi_n$. Substitution into the <Rayleigh quotient> gives
$$
\boxed{F[\psi_n]=\frac{E_n\langle\psi_n,\psi_n\rangle}{\langle\psi_n,\psi_n\rangle}=E_n.}
$$
The cancellation only needs a finite nonzero <norm>; orthonormalization makes both denominator and <norm> equal to one.
