The <Cauchy-Riemann equations> give $u_x=v_y$ and $u_y=-v_x$. Therefore
$$
|\nabla u|^2=u_x^2+u_y^2=v_y^2+v_x^2=|\nabla v|^2.
$$
Taking the nonnegative square root yields
$$
\boxed{|\nabla u|=|\nabla v|.}
$$
The two <gradients> are also orthogonal, since $\nabla u\cdot\nabla v=v_yv_x-v_xv_y=0$, although equality of their lengths alone is the requested result.
