= Solution

For $f=u+iv$ analytic in $z=x+iy$, the <Cauchy-Riemann equations> are
$$
\boxed{u_x=v_y,\qquad u_y=-v_x.}
$$
They follow by computing the same complex <derivative> along the real and imaginary coordinate directions.
