For the convention $\gamma=\operatorname{Re}(\gamma_0e^{i\omega t})$, the <complex viscoelastic modulus> is $G^*=i\omega\int_0^\infty G(t)e^{-i\omega t}dt$. Thus
$$
G^*=\frac{i\omega\eta}{1+i\omega\tau},\qquad
\boxed{G'=G_0\frac{(\omega\tau)^2}{1+(\omega\tau)^2},\quad
G''=G_0\frac{\omega\tau}{1+(\omega\tau)^2}.}
$$
The <storage modulus> exceeds the <loss modulus> for $\omega\tau>1$, so the response is predominantly solid-like above the crossover
$$
\boxed{\omega_c=1/\tau,\qquad f_c=1/(2\pi\tau).}
$$
At low frequency $G^*\simeq i\omega\eta$; at high frequency $G^*\to G_0$.
