Permanent of a matrix
= Permanent of a matrix
{title2=$\operatorname{perm}A$}
{wiki=Permanent_(mathematics)}
For an $n\times n$ matrix $A=(a_{ij})$, its permanent is
$$
\operatorname{perm}A=\sum_{\sigma\in S_n}\prod_{i=1}^n a_{i,\sigma(i)}.
$$
It resembles the <determinant> without the signs of the permutations.
