Photon statistics of a squeezed vacuum
= Photon statistics of a squeezed vacuum
{title2=$p_{2m}=\dfrac{(2m)!\tanh^{2m}r}{2^{2m}(m!)^2\cosh r},\quad p_{2m+1}=0$}
The <single-mode squeeze operator> changes occupation in pairs. Consequently an <optical squeezed vacuum> has only even <photon numbers>, with mean $s=\sinh^2r$ and <variance> $2s(s+1)$. Its large number fluctuations are compatible with <quadrature squeezing>: they concern different observables.
