Planetary magnetic field
= Planetary magnetic field
A planetary magnetic field may include an intrinsic field maintained by an internal <planetary dynamo>, local crustal <remanent magnetization>, and externally driven fields associated with the <solar wind>. Separating these components requires spatial and temporal observations. A global internally sourced field, a localized crustal anomaly, and an <induced magnetosphere> are different evidence about the planet's present and past interior.
