Chemical stripping of organic material, commonly <photoresist>, by reactive species produced in a plasma. <oxygen> radicals convert suitable organic material into volatile <oxidation> products. A remote source reduces direct energetic <ion> bombardment, but exposed materials can still oxidize and inorganic residue can remain.
