For a sufficiently rapidly decreasing function $f$, the Poisson summation formula relates its samples to those of its <Fourier transform>:
$$
\sum_{n\in\mathbb Z}f(n)=\sum_{k\in\mathbb Z}\widehat f(2\pi k)
$$
under the convention $\widehat f(\xi)=\int_{\mathbb R}f(x)e^{-ix\xi}\,dx$.
