The powerset construction turns an NFA with state set $Q$ into a DFA with state set $\mathcal P(Q)$, transition
$$
\delta_D(S,a)=\bigcup_{q\in S}\Delta(q,a),
$$
and accepting subsets that meet the NFA final set.
