A <projective representation> is a <group homomorphism> into the projective linear group of a <vector space>. Choosing invertible linear representatives makes multiplication hold up to nonzero scalar factors. A <projective unitary representation> chooses <unitary operators> as representatives, whose scalar factors have modulus one.
