Radical plane
= Radical plane
For two spheres with distinct centres, the plane whose points have equal squared-distance-minus-radius-squared values for the two spheres. Subtracting the sphere equations gives its linear equation; every common point lies in it. The plane remains defined even when the spherical surfaces do not meet.
