Radion
= Radion
A radion is a lower-dimensional <scalar field> describing the size or separation modulus of compact extra dimensions. In a two-brane <Randall–Sundrum model>, its expectation determines the inter-brane separation and the warp-generated hierarchy. A background size alone does not supply a radion potential or a stabilization mechanism.
