Reduced Brillouin zone
= Reduced Brillouin zone
A <reduced Brillouin zone> is the reciprocal primitive cell for an enlarged real-space unit cell. Doubling a one-dimensional unit cell halves the <momentum> interval but adds a second internal sublattice degree of freedom. Band folding therefore preserves the number of <normal modes>.
