Brent C. Trela and Andrew L. Waterhouse, Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry 44(5), 1253–1257 (16 May 1996), DOI 10.1021/jf9504576. Exact full byline and UC Davis Viticulture and Enology affiliation verified in the publisher indexed page. Abstract reports ethanol absorption maxima: trans-resveratrol 308 nm with molar absorptivity 30000, cis-resveratrol 288 nm with molar absorptivity 12600, in L mol^-1 cm^-1. Stability depends on illumination and pH. Original Table 2/Molar Absorptivities describes separate wavelength-dependent measurements; the two reported maxima are not the two coefficients at a single common wavelength.
