<Reverberation> is the persistence of <acoustic waves> after a source stops, produced by repeated reflections in an enclosure. A diffuse-room approximation gives an approximately exponential decay of mean acoustic <energy>; an individual <normal mode> may instead be described as a damped <resonator>.
