In Newtonian gauge, $\Theta_0+\Psi$ combines the intrinsic photon temperature perturbation with the gravitational redshift at emission. With constant potentials and negligible baryon loading it oscillates as $\cos(kr_s)$ for adiabatic initial conditions.
