= Sanidine

A high-temperature potassium feldspar <mineral>, with idealized composition $\mathrm{KAlSi_3O_8}$. Substitution on its K and Al sites changes the <thermodynamic activity> of that <mineral endmember> and therefore the <chemical equilibrium> of reactions involving it.
