= Scale-free spherical Jeans solution

For tracer density $\nu\propto r^{-\alpha}$, circular speed $V_c\propto r^\gamma$, and constant anisotropy $\beta$, the boundary-free scale-free solution is
$$
\sigma_r^2=\frac{V_c^2}{\alpha-2\beta-2\gamma},
$$
which requires a positive denominator.
