Scattering-amplitude factorization
= Scattering-amplitude factorization
Near a one-particle pole, a <scattering amplitude> factors into amplitudes coupling each side to the intermediate state, summed over its physical polarizations. The pole position gives its squared <mass>, while its <residue> encodes its spin and couplings.
