The Scorer functions are particular solutions of inhomogeneous <Airy equations>: $\operatorname{Hi}''(x)-x\operatorname{Hi}(x)=1/\pi$ and $\operatorname{Gi}''(x)-x\operatorname{Gi}(x)=-1/\pi$.
