<Seismic tomography> infers a spatial model of elastic-wave propagation from many source-receiver observations. Uneven illumination, finite <wavelength>, parameter tradeoffs and <regularization> limit its resolution. A seismic-velocity image is not directly an image of <temperature> or flow <velocity>.
