= Solar magnetic network
A spatially extended pattern of magnetic concentrations near boundaries of <supergranulation>. Surface transport and convergence redistribute magnetic elements into this network; flux emergence, cancellation and diffusion also continually modify it. It is distinct from the much smaller-scale field pattern in individual <intergranular lanes> and from the organized strong fields of <sunspots>.
