{wiki}
<Somatic cell nuclear transfer> introduces a body-cell <cell nucleus> into an <ovum> whose own nuclear contribution has been removed or inactivated. The donor nuclear <genome> and recipient <cytoplasm> have different origins; successful development does not show that the donor <cell nucleus> acts independently of the recipient's machinery.
