A <sigma-algebra> $\mathcal G$ on the same underlying <set> as $\mathcal F$, with $\mathcal G\subseteq\mathcal F$. In <probability theory> it represents information retained from the original <probability space> and is a possible conditioning collection for a <conditional expectation>.
