Repeated assembly, reorganization and dispersal of <supercontinents>. It is not necessarily periodic or synchronous across all continents. A <Wilson cycle> concerns the opening and closure of an individual ocean basin, whereas a <supercontinent cycle> describes global-scale changes in <continental configuration>.
