In a nondegenerate <symmetric bimatrix game>, player interchange pairs every nonsymmetric <Nash equilibrium> with a distinct swapped equilibrium. The <equilibrium oddness theorem> gives an odd total; the remaining fixed points, which are the <symmetric equilibria>, therefore also number an odd amount.
