= Tachyon vertex operator

The bosonic closed-string tachyon vertex is the normal-ordered exponential ${}:e^{ip\cdot X}:$ integrated over its worldsheet position. Pairwise contractions of such exponentials generate the <Koba-Nielsen factor>.
