The $\alpha$-trimmed mean deletes the smallest and largest $\lfloor\alpha n\rfloor$ observations and averages the rest. Its population functional is
$$
T(F)=\frac1{1-2\alpha}\int_\alpha^{1-\alpha}F^{-1}(s)\,ds.
$$
