= Two-dimensional boundary-layer equations

For steady incompressible flow with imposed outer pressure gradient,
$$
u_x+v_y=0,
\qquad
uu_x+vu_y=-\frac1\rho p_x+\nu u_{yy}.
$$
The normal momentum equation makes pressure approximately uniform across the layer.
