= Ubiquitination
<Ubiquitination> covalently attaches <ubiquitin> to a substrate, usually through successive action of a <ubiquitin-activating enzyme>, <ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme> and <ubiquitin ligase>. The modification can change degradation, localization or signalling; attachment alone does not specify which outcome occurs.
