= Ultraviolet pole of QED fermion self-energy
{title2=$\Sigma_{\rm UV}=e^2(-\not p+4m)/(16\pi^2\epsilon)$}
In <Feynman gauge>, with insertion $-i\Sigma(p)$ and $d=4-2\epsilon$, the one-loop <QED> result is $\Sigma_{\rm UV}=e^2(-\not p+4m)/(16\pi^2\epsilon)$. The coefficient of $\not p$ is the electron kinetic <counterterm> $\delta_2=-e^2/(16\pi^2\epsilon)$ when its insertion is $i\not p\delta_2$. The scalar part fixes a separate <mass counterterm> in the chosen normalization convention.
