With prescribed velocity on the boundary and suitable decay or far-field data, a <Stokes flow> is unique up to an additive pressure constant. Applying the <viscous dissipation> identity to the difference of two solutions makes its rate-of-strain tensor vanish; the homogeneous boundary data then eliminate the remaining rigid motion.
