The ordered tree-level four-tachyon <open string> amplitude is proportional to $\Gamma(-1-\alpha's)\Gamma(-1-\alpha't)/\Gamma(-2-\alpha'(s+t))$. Its <Mandelstam variables> locate the mass levels, and pole residues reveal spin content.
