= Vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer

A <copolymer> containing $-\mathrm{CH_2-CHCl}-$ and $-\mathrm{CH_2-CH(OAc)}-$ units. Hydrolysis changes the acetate side groups without requiring cleavage of the carbon backbone, provided competing degradation is controlled.
