<Weak coupling> means a suitably dimensionless interaction strength is small. In <BCS theory>, $\nu_sV\ll1$ gives a gap exponentially small compared with the pairing-shell energy cutoff; the expansion parameter is not the dimensional quantity $V$ alone.
