= Weight of a partition
{title2=$w_e(\lambda)$}

The $e$-weight is the number of $e$-hooks removed to reach the $e$-core. It satisfies
$$
|\lambda|=|C_e(\lambda)|+e w_e(\lambda)
$$
and equals the total size of the partitions in the $e$-quotient.
