= Young-Dupré equation

Combining reversible work of adhesion per area, $W=\gamma_{SV}+\gamma_{LV}-\gamma_{SL}$, with <Young's equation> gives the displayed relation. It assumes the same smooth equilibrium interfaces; contact-angle hysteresis and dissipation are not included.
