Daniel Bernoulli (1700–1782) was a Swiss mathematician and physicist best known for his contributions to fluid dynamics and probability theory. He was a member of the Bernoulli family, which included several prominent mathematicians. One of his most significant contributions is Bernoulli's principle, which states that an increase in the speed of a fluid occurs simultaneously with a decrease in pressure or potential energy.
