Gennady Potapenko is a retired professional basketball player from Ukraine. He was born on June 22, 1975, and is known for his position as a power forward/center. Potapenko had a successful collegiate career in the United States at the University of Massachusetts, where he played from 1993 to 1996. After college, he was drafted by the NBA and played for several teams, including the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Boston Celtics, and the Sacramento Kings.
