He was born on May 11, 1918, and passed away on February 15, 1988. Feynman made significant contributions to the understanding of the interaction between light and matter, earning him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1965, which he shared with Julian Schwinger and Sin-Itiro Tomonaga.
