Slab pull is a geological process that describes the movement of tectonic plates, particularly the oceanic lithosphere, as it subducts into the Earth's mantle. As the denser oceanic plate sinks into the mantle, it pulls the rest of the plate along with it, creating a pulling force. This mechanism is significant in explaining the dynamics of plate tectonics.
