Tetrad formalism, also known as the vierbein formalism in the context of General Relativity, is a mathematical framework used to describe the geometry of spacetime. In the tetrad formalism, the geometry of spacetime is described using a set of four vector fields called tetrads (or vierbeins in 4 dimensions).
