Torque is a measure of the rotational force applied to an object and is calculated as the product of force and the distance from the pivot point (the lever arm). In addition to newton meters, torque can also be expressed in other units depending on the context, such as: - Pound-feet (lb-ft) in the imperial system. - Pound-inches (lb-in).
