Gregory Jaczko is an American physicist and former chairman of the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). He served as the NRC chairman from 2009 to 2012, during which time he was a prominent figure in discussions regarding nuclear safety, particularly in the wake of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster in Japan in March 2011. Jaczko has been a vocal advocate for nuclear safety and reform of nuclear regulation.
