A mock test simulates the pressure of completing questions within a limited time. This is different from regular practice, where students can spend several minutes on a single problem or refer to notes whenever needed.
Regular test practice can help candidates identify:
  • topics where accuracy is low
  • questions that consume excessive time
  • sections requiring more revision
  • repeated calculation or conceptual errors
  • problems with question selection
The objective should not be to take as many tests as possible. A smaller number of well-analysed tests can be more useful than repeatedly attempting papers without reviewing mistakes.
