The Applied Element Method (AEM) is a numerical approach used for analyzing complex behaviors in engineering and physical sciences, particularly in the context of structural mechanics and geotechnical engineering. Developed as an extension of the traditional finite element method (FEM), AEM focuses on the modeling of discrete elements rather than continuous fields.
