Atomic Packing Factor
(APF) is
a
dimensionless
quantity
that describes how efficiently
atoms
are packed in
a
given
unit cell
of
a
crystal structure
. It is defined
as
the
ratio
of the
volume
occupied by
atoms
within
a
cell
to the total
volume
of the
cell
itself.
