In 1946, the landscape of computing underwent a significant transformation with the introduction of the Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer (ENIAC). Developed by John W. Mauchly and J. Presper Eckert at the University of Pennsylvania, ENIAC is often recognized as the first general-purpose electronic digital computer.
